On 2 May 2013, SC4 Carpenters Ltd began construction of a new two-bedroom timber frame house in Wash Common, Newbury - site of the 1643 English Civil War Battle of Newbury. SC4 worked alongside English Heritage during the groundworks ensuring a smooth transition through the archaeological site survey process.
On 15th May 2013 the groundworks and archeological works were complete. The following day the timber frame arrived and by the evening the roof trusses were erected.
