Case Study: Decoration Of New Executive Home In Wimbledon

Between winter 2023 and spring 2024, our SC4 Decorators team carried out the internal decoration at this new luxury home in Wimbledon, London, and are very proud of the excellent finish achieved. The centre piece of the home was a unique and majestic staircase connecting several floors of the property, highlighted by meticulous decoration on all sides.

About the customer and project

SC4 Decorators have been providing high quality painting and decorating services to Arcadia Construction for their high specification homes for over 15 years, so we were delighted to support them on this elegant development. SC4 are one of Arcadia’s preferred decorating partners, and so came to us directly with the project. They stated that they chose us because they wanted a ‘top notch’ finish, and after reviewing the brief, we were happy to rise to the challenge!

How we helped

The works included extensive, superior quality internal painting and wallpapering of walls, painting the ceilings, cornice, skirting, and architraves, and staining the stair treads to match the internal doors. The project took place over four months between November 2023 and February 2024, and involved a team of six decorators overseen by SC4 Director of Decorating Services John Norton, and Decorating Project Coordinator Rasal Rasal.

The challenge

As can be seen from the pictures, the atrium of the property is a large open space, with high ceilings that required working at height from internal scaffolding. This involved a careful risk assessment and safeguards to keep our team safe while giving them the space and accessibility they needed to deliver their job to the highest standard.

During the project, we also worked in parallel with other subcontractors to progress the build, ensuring the installed units, mirrors, mouldings, and other fixtures and fittings were protected to prevent damage during decorating and other works.

Outcomes
